AFSP Utah
As a part of AFSP’s growing nationwide network of chapters, we bring together people from all backgrounds who want to prevent suicide in our communities. The Utah Chapter was chartered in 2010 and has Community Walks, Campus Walks, gatekeeper programs and support for those who have been touched by suicide through our outreach program. We are dedicated to achieving our mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide.

NAMI Utah
From addressing the education needs and support of families and individuals with mental illness, to advocating for access to treatment and services, to fighting stigma of mental illness, NAMI has become the Nation’s Voice on Mental Illness.

SafeUT app
The SafeUT Crisis Text and Tip Line is a statewide service that provides real-time crisis intervention for youth, and adults, through texting and a confidential tip program – right from your smartphone. Licensed clinicians in our 24/7 CrisisLine call center respond to all incoming chats, texts, and calls by providing supportive or crisis counseling, suicide prevention, and referral services. We can help anyone with emotional crises, bullying, relationship problems, mental health, or suicide-related issues.

UNI Crisis Line 801-587-3000
UNI has teamed up with Salt Lake County and OptumHealth SLCo to provide free crisis response and hospital diversion programs that aim to keep all our family members, friends, and neighbors safe. Our team of professionals are highly trained in mental health crisis management and suicide prevention.

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline 1-800-273-8255
We can all help prevent suicide. The Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals. Counselors at locally-operated crisis centers across the country answer all of the Lifeline’s calls and chats.

Crisis Text Line 741741
Crisis Text Line is free, 24/7 support for those in crisis. Text HOME to 741741 from anywhere in the US to text with a trained Crisis Counselor. Crisis Text Line trains volunteers to support people in crisis.

Live On Utah
Live On is a statewide effort to prevent suicide by promoting education, providing resources, and changing our culture around suicide and mental health. Together we can get through, reach out, lift up, look ahead, and Live On.
You have the power to save a life. If you think someone might be considering suicide, ask them! Asking does not make them more likely to attempt suicide and may actually save their life.

Utah Dept. of Human Services – Substance Abuse and Mental Health
The Utah Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (DSAMH) was created as Utah’s substance abuse and mental health authority by Utah statute §62A-15-103. We oversee the publicly funded prevention and treatment system. If you, a friend, or family member is living with a mental health illness or a problem with alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs, there is help available.

Salt Lake County Department of Health
The mission of the Salt Lake County Health Department is simple:
“To promote and protect community and environmental health.”
We work to protect and improve the well-being of all county residents by preventing disease, illness, and injury and by impacting social, economic, and environmental factors fundamental to excellent health.

Salt Lake County Youth Services
For over 40 years, we have provided safety, shelter and support to youth and families in the Greater Salt Lake area. Our services are FREE and/or accept Medicaid. We assist with Medicaid enrollment and we have Spanish speaking therapists available.

Optum Salt Lake County
Optum believes every person has the right to live in their community with health, dignity and hope. Mental Health recovery is a journey of healing and transformation enabling a person with a mental health problem to live a meaningful life in a community of his or her choice while striving to achieve his or her full potential. Our goals are to improve clinical outcomes, expand access to appropriate care, manage costs, and strengthen individual capabilities to pursue wellness and recovery.

Jordan Health and Wellness
Health and Wellness resources for all within the Jordan School District, including Crisis Support, Mental Health, Suicide Prevention, and Parent and Educator resources.

Valley Behavioral Health
Valley Behavioral Health is a nonprofit network of clinics providing treatment for behavioral conditions, addictions, psychiatric conditions, autism and other chronic health conditions. We treat chronic lifelong conditions as well as temporary conditions triggered by traumatic life events. Our programs are tailored to people of all ages and every social, cultural and economic situation.

Maliheh Free Clinic
Maliheh Free Clinic is reversing the cycle of poverty and suffering created by poor health, by providing free quality medical care to low income and uninsured Utah families. Healthcare is provided by qualified, licensed health care professionals and well-trained staff and volunteers.

Latino Behavioral Health Services (LBHS)
LBHS es una organización comunitaria sin fines de lucro creada para minimizar las disparidades en el acceso a los servicios de salud mental entre la población latina subatendida de Utah. South Valley Services
South Valley Services is a domestic violence service provider offering services throughout the Salt Lake Valley and Utah County since 1998. Our goal every day is to stop the systemic violence that survivors experience. We do this through survivor-defined services, maintaining intersectional practices, and supporting positive social change.
Our services are completely confidential and our emergency shelter location is kept private.

The Family Support Center
Housing and self-sufficiency for homeless parents and children through the LifeStart Village.
Low-cost individual and family counseling.
FREE 24/7 care for children through our Crisis Nursery for parents who are overwhelmed.
FREE in-home parenting support through our Family Mentoring Program.

Prevent Child Abuse Utah
Founded in 1982, the mission of Prevent Child Abuse Utah is to forge and guide a community commitment to prevent child abuse in all forms through programs, services, public awareness, education, public policy development and system partner collaboration.

Chainbreaker Foundation
Help us stop domestic violence and all other types of abuse! The Chainbreaker Foundation assists adult victims of all types of abuse–physical, sexual, spiritual, emotional, and verbal. Our purpose is to provide education, guidance, and support.

The Trevor Project
The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) youth.

Encircle LGBTQ+ Family and Youth Resource Center
Encircle seeks to deepen and enrich the conversation among communities of faith and LGBTQ+ people. By teaching individuals to love themselves and empowering families, Encircle helps cultivate an environment where LGBTQ+ individuals can thrive. Our programs and services meet people wherever they are in their lives with cultural competency and sensitivity, using community partnerships, best practices, and innovative techniques.

National Center for Transgender Equality
The National Center for Transgender Equality advocates to change policies and society to increase understanding and acceptance of transgender people. In the nation’s capital and throughout the country, NCTE works to replace disrespect, discrimination, and violence with empathy, opportunity, and justice.
